Driving
Arriving by Air
High mountain weather is unpredictable - rain, hail, snow, high
winds and sun are all possible throughout the year. From November
to April, road conditions can be extermely hazardous and require
four-wheel drive or at least front wheel drive
and chains.
MUSIC PRACTICE
Directions from town; Take Old Santa Fe Trail past the museums
to the stop sign at Zia Road. Go past about 5 streets and turn left
on Teddy Bear Trail. It becomes Camino Sanador, which dead-ends.
Turn left to the house with the grey-pitched roof.
Directions from the freeway (I-25): Exit Old Pecos Trail
and go towards town to the stop light. Turn right on Old Las Vegas
Highway until just before El Gancho Restaurant. Turn left on El
Gancho Way until it dead-ends on Old Santa Fe Trail. Turn left,
and go about a mile to Teddy Bear Trail and turn right. It becomes
Camino Sanador, which dead-ends. Turn left to the house with the
grey-pitched roof.

DRIVING
Driving North from Albuquerque via I-25
Take I-25 North to Santa Fe. Take exit 284,"Old Pecos Trail".
Turn left . Proceed to the first stop light and turn right onto
Old Las Vegas Highway.
Continue for 3 miles. At the blue and yellow sign for Santa Fe
County road 67-C turn left. Proceed to the stop sign and turn right.
Continue for 1.7 miles. There, on your right, you will see a large
red mailbox marked 7658 AMMA. Turn right and follow the arrows.
Driving from Las Vegas (NM) or Colorado via I-25
On highway I-25 past Glorieta, take exit 290 "Clines Corners".
After exiting, turn right. Proceed to the T-intersection, and turn
left on to a 2-lane highway (Old Las Vegas highway).
Continue for 3 miles. Just past the sign for Calimo Rd. will be
a blue and yellow sign for Santa Fe County road 67-C. Turn right
onto 67-C.
Proceed to the stop sign and turn right again. Continue for 1.7
miles. There, on your right, you will see a large red mailbox marked
7658 AMMA. Turn right and follow the arrows.
Driving from Northern New Mexico via 285
Enter Santa Fe on 285, which becomes Saint Francis Drive. Cross
the railroad tracks at Cerrillos Rd. Take a left at the next light
(Cordova Rd.). Proceed to the 4th light (Old Pecos Trail). Turn
right.
Continue on to the intersection of St. Michael's Drive, and turn
left to stay on Old Pecos Trail. Follow to the 2nd light (big intersection)
and turn left onto Old Las Vegas Highway. Continue for 3 miles.
At the blue and yellow sign for Santa Fe County road 67-C, turn
left. Proceed to the stop sign and turn right. Continue for 1.7
miles. There, on your right, you will see a large red mailbox marked
7658 AMMA. Turn right and follow the arrows.
ARRIVING BY AIR
Closest Airport
The nearest airport is in Albuquerque. You have to take an airport
shuttle or rent a car and drive to Santa Fe (about 1.5 hours). There
is an airport in Santa Fe, but it is only for small planes.
