The following are Amma's satsang groups in the New Mexico area. Call the number listed at the end of each section or contact the group via email.


SANTA FE

Satsang at Amma Center
The Santa Fe satsang meets every Saturday at 6:30pm, in the main temple at Amma Center of New Mexico.

Schedule

  • Chanting of the 108 Names of Mata Amritanandamayi
  • A talk by a devotee or Swami
  • Bhajans (devotional singing)
  • A short silent meditation
  • Arati
  • Closing prayers

All are invited to the meal and gathering at the ashram afterwards.

The bookstore (at the temple) is open during satsang. The library (at the ashram) is open during the community meal following satsang.

Mother's Kitchen
All Sundays from 9:30 am to 12 noon. Burrito sack lunch served in Santa Fe parks to the homeless.

Monthly Satsang
Satsangs are usually held on a given Sunday of the month at the home of Chandra and Latha Pillai. The satsang includes puja, Amma's 108 Names, bhajans and an Indian dinner. Please call for more information.

ALBUQUERQUE

Satsang:
Satsang is held the third Saturday each month at Maya (Tripura) and Gerardo Fernandez' home. The 1,000 names of the Divine Mother are chanted prior to satsang, followed by a joyous satsang, and a light vegetarian meal. Satsang begins with chanting the 108 Names of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, followed by bhajans, a reading or sharing about Amma's teachings, silent meditation, and arati. Children’s satsang is often held simultaneously.

Bhajan Practice
Bhajan practice is held the first and fourth Friday of each month from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nicole Clarke's home. Call Nicole at 505-243-0950 for directions.

Mother's Kitchen:
The Albuquerque satsang serves Mother's Kitchen out of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. We provide approximately 50 freshly prepared sack lunches each week to the needy and homeless.

LAS CRUCES

Satsang:
We start with the Dyana Sloka, then we chant The 108 names of Amma, followed by a short reading. We sing bhajans for about an hour and finish with Arati and the closing prayers. After the program, those who wish to stay enjoy prasad and social interaction. Please call for dates and times of our monthly satsang.

TOAS / DIXON

Satsang: The Taos / Dixon Satsang in northern New Mexico meets twice a month, on Sunday afternoons, at the homes of devotees in Taos and Dixon. Programs include 108 Names of Amma, children's stories, readings of Amma's teachings, bhajans, arati and prasad. There is a potluck dinner that follows. At certain times there is also chanting of the Lalita Sahasranama (1,000 Names of the Divine Mother). Children are welcome. For satsang schedule or more information:
